Evo ja uplovio jutros u Kawasaki, Japan. Linija (Persijski zaliv - Japan) Obicno na brod dodje desetak ljudi sa kraja. Posada broda je inace kao u karantin po moru, nijesmo izlozeni nikakvim bolestima i prehladama pa samim tim i imunitet oslabi. Desava se da dodjemo u luku, zakaslje se jedan covjek koji je dosao sa kopna i odma posle toga je prehladjeno par clanova posade. Malo smo se prepali jer ocekujemo smjenu posade od 8 ljudi, 3 dolaze iz Evrope i 5 sa Filipina. Ocekivali smo mnogo vece mjere prevencije kad stignemo, znajuci standarde kompanije (Japanska) i Japance uopste ali nista od toga, atmosfera totalno opustena. Primili smo sledeci mejl kao uputsvo:


Guideline for preventive action against Wuhan Corona virus when Worldwide trading vessel entering port

1. Procedure

[Pre-arrival confirmation]
Each terminal shall perform below preparation thru agent. In addition, JXTG operator also confirm below if vessel is Chartered by JXTG.

1. History of vessel calling “Infected Area”

Confirmation to be made whether the vessel called “Infected Area” port last 14 days.

1. Unwell physical conditioned crew

1. Regardless of vessel called “Infected Area” or not, verify existence poor health conditioned crew.

e.g. Request port formality paper “Health Queries for Radio Pratique regarding CORONA” which is submitted to Quarantine office.

1. If Unwell physical conditioned crew is onboard, terminal will ask Quarantine office about suitability of vessel entering port.

Below measures to be took in place if the vessel is applicable above

[Measures before vessel entering port]

1. Request to vessel members not to go outside unless it is necessary.
2. Request to ship owner to supply surgical masks, thermometer and disinfectant solution

[Measures during vessel in port]

1. Shore staffs shall wear mask and goggle when onboard. The mask to be replaced by regular interval, and the used mask must be disposed shore designated container or vessel garbage bin.
2. Berth Master shall check below items at Ship-Shore safety meeting

• Unwell health condition crew
• Request to Master to make all ship’s crew wearing a mask
• Thermo meter check to be conducted as appropriate

1. Upon consultation by Berth Master and Master, a poor conditioned person shall be isolated if found. Then, terminal operator will coordinate hospitalization after reporting designated medical agencies. Night/Holiday communication is subject to Emergency communication procedure. Each terminal operator informs above matter to CORONA unit immediately.
2. Terminal operator do washing his hands by disinfection solution before boarding.
3. Observe hand wash, gargle discipline if they have a meal/drink.

[Measures for ship’s crew go shore]

1. Watch house security shall ask purpose & destination of the crew. Request the crew to wear mask at all time.
2. Terminal operator shall coordinate crew’s route for gate to control unnecessary contact with shore staffs. The gate keeper also has to wear a mask. Hand wash and gargle to be encouraged.

[Measures after vessel departure]

1. Shore staffs keep monitoring themselves health condition, fever and cough 14 days.
2. If CORONA symptoms appeared, report it to superiors and get designated hospital without appearing office. The patient shall inform to doctor that having a contact with person from “Infected Area”.
3. In case suspected CORONA on a person other than JXTG employee, request them to share the info with JXTG.
