    Audi Prices 2013 S5 Coupe and Cabriolet, S6, S7, S8, and RS5 Coupe

July 20, 2012 at 11:17am by Alexander Stoklosa

A sizeable chunk of Audi’s lineup is new or refreshed for 2013, including the S6, S7, and S8, as well as the updated S5 and RS5, and now we’ve got pricing info on the whole lot of them. The S6 and S8 (we’ve already put the S6 through an instrumented test, and conducted our first drive of the S8) were redesigned for 2013, following the non-S A6 and A8. The head-turning five-door S7 is a new model based on the equally fresh A7.
The S6, S7, and S8 are powered by the same twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 in different states of tune ranging from 420 hp (S6 and S7) to 520 (S8 ). The S5 coupe and cabriolet get a new 333-hp, supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 for 2013; this marks the first model year for the naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V-8–powered RS5 here in the U.S. Pricing for each model can be found below:

    • S5 Coupe: $51,795 + $1400 for seven-speed dual-clutch automatic (Premium Plus); $58,445 + $1400 for dual-clutch auto (Prestige)

    • S5 Cabriolet: $60,195 (Premium Plus); $66,845 (Prestige)

    • RS5: $69,795

    • S6: $72,795

    • S7: $79,695

    • S8: $110,895

The new RS5, S5 coupe, and S5 cabriolet already are on sale. The S6, S7, and S8 will be available in U.S. dealerships this fall.

Ne znam na divlje, znam da sam tada u Baru italijansku trebao slicno platiti pa sam se ipak odlucio za original, a sajlu ne mozes mjenati posebno, moras sve zajedno sa sinama.

    2013 Audi Q5

The new powertrain roster won't disappoint.

Audi may have been a little late to the small-luxo-SUV segment, what with the Acura RDX, BMW X3, and Lexus RX arriving before the Q5 landed for 2009. But as a five-ute comparison test from that yearshowed, the wait was worth it—the Audi won. For 2013, the Q5 gets a mid-cycle refresh that comprises a host of cosmetic and mechanical updates. While the new bumpers and lights are welcome, it’s the powertrain changes that should most interest luxury-crossover buyers.
    Motivationally Speaking
Where once there were just two engine options, the U.S.-spec Q5 soon will offer four. A turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder continues as the base engine; unlike the European models, which get an updated and slightly more powerful and efficient version of the 2.0T, U.S. versions carry on for now with the 211-hp version that has served in the Q5, as well as other models, such as the A4 and A5. We expect the updated engine to clear customs in a year or two.Replacing the 3.2-liter V-6 in the Q5 is Audi’s prolific 3.0T; the “T” stands for supercharger, obviously. This 3.0-liter V-6 debuted in the S4 for 2010, and has since spread across the Audi lineup. In Q5 trim it makes 272 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. We drove a Q5 3.0T with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, although the U.S.-market 3.0T instead will deliver power to all four wheels (Quattro four-wheel drive is standard across the range) via a conventional eight-speed automatic.

Engine option number three is a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel, the first diesel to be offered in the U.S. Q5. It won’t go on sale here until the fall of next year as a 2014 model, but if you can stand to wait, we recommend doing so for two reasons. First: It is one of the smoothest diesels we’ve ever driven. Even with 245 hp and 428 lb-ft on tap, it’s quiet, and it will not be that much slower than the 3.0T. Second: As it stands, the hot-rod SQ5, which uses a version of this engine, will not be brought to the U.S. The first diesel to power an Audi S vehicle, it uses two sequential turbochargers to boost the intake pressure and produce an astonishing 313 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. We say it’s plenty worthy of the S nameplate. If Audi sees a high demand for diesel Q5s in the U.S., there is a chance the SQ5 will come, albeit a small one. Odds are that if we get an S version of the Q5 it will instead have a tuned-up version of the 3.0T gas V-6. Too bad. What can we say—we dream in Technicolor diesel.
The final new powertrain is a hybrid. It uses the 211-hp turbo four augmented by a 54-hp electric motor that’s sandwiched between a pair of clutches that respectively hook to the engine and eight-speed auto; combined system output is 245 hp. A 1.3-kWh lithium-ion battery pack provides power for up to 1.9 miles of electric-only driving at 37 mph, or less distance at speeds up to 62 mph. We couldn’t verify the motor’s operational range on our short drive, but we did find the blending between electric and gas-electric operation to be as seamless as anything we’ve sampled. The engine doesn’t restart with a violent shake like we’ve experienced with the BMW 328i’s stop-start system, and after pulling away on electric power, the reintroduction of internal combustion is inconspicuous. The brakes bite nicely—which is not the norm for a hybrid bent on recouping brake energy—but the epilogue of a slight brake application is a small shudder felt through the pedal and a bit through the steering wheel. It’s our only real gripe with the hybrid.
All the Q5s come with electrically assisted power steering that actually has a sufficient amount of feedback for an SUV and knows straight ahead like a salmon knows upriver. The chassis blends a comfortable ride with a sporty demeanor in the way we expect a sports sedan to. The hybrid is infinitely more engaging than the RX450h, and the diesel model should offer class-leading (internal-combustion-only) fuel economy. The official numbers haven’t been announced for the 2013 Q5 range, although the 2.0T likely will burn gas at the same rate as the current model, which has city and highway EPA ratings of 20 and 27 mpg. The 3.0T will score slightly lower, and the hybrid will do a bit better. The diesel model should nearly match the 2.0T’s economy, potentially surpassing its highway rating.
    May We Recommend
Those really looking to get maximum sport out of their Q5 should select the S-line package with the 3.0T, which includes variable-ratio steering and adaptive dampers at all four corners. In their stiffest setting, the dampers do a good job of quelling body roll, which makes sweepers ever so slightly more enjoyable.

Pricing hasn’t been revealed for the 2013 model, but we expect the 2.0T’s sticker to be just slightly higher than the outgoing 2012 model’s, or about $37,500. The 3.0T should start right around the $45K mark, with the hybrid coming in below the 3.0T. When it comes online next year, we expect the 3.0 TDI to be priced slightly higher than the 3.0T.
Those new lights—which have a halo-like LED daytime-running element—and the bumpers, while minor changes, blend well into the carry-over body panels. Along with the powertrain updates, the new look makes a likable luxury crossover even more so.

    2013 Audi R8 4.2 and 5.2 Coupe and Spyder

Audi's halo car catches up with the rest of the line.

Audi has revealed the refreshed 2013 R8 and the changes, though minor, nicely update what is one of our favorite sports cars. It may not be readily apparent, but the R8 recently celebrated its fifth birthday—its aggressive-yet-spare styling has aged well. To that end, Audi didn’t mess much with the mid-engine, all-wheel-drive R8’s basic cosmetic goodness. The company also didn’t do much with the mechanicals, including the wonderful V-8 and V-10 engines, although there is a new dual-clutch automatic available.
    The LED Pioneer
Even though Audi has yet to release U.S.-specific information, the updates announced by Audi Europe will carry over to the R8 we get here. The cosmetic changes include new LED headlights and taillights, as well as a tweaked front fascia and grille. The new headlights are full-LED units that incorporate Audi’s latest LED accent strip in place of the old car’s bedazzled eyelashes, which consisted of individual light-emitting diodes. Audi also fitted the R8 with the latest take on its iconic single-frame grille, which features beveled upper corners for more pizazz. The outer front intakes get new accents to match the tweaked grille.
The R8’s taillights now light up with a pulse of light that runs from the inside to the outside. We must say that these fancy flashers have us as excited as we’ve ever been about blinkers, and we look forward to seeing them in action. Audi previewed this lighting trick on the LED-tastic A2 concept at last year’s Frankfurt auto show. For the closest real-life analogue to these fancy blinkers, think of the sequenced rear-indicator lamps on Ford’s Mustang and you’re pretty much there.
New Transmission, New Trim Level, Same Engines
The R8’s 430-hp, 4.2-liter V-8 and 525-hp, 5.2-liter V-10 engines both carry over for 2013. The much-beloved, gated six-speed manual transmission also survives—though a stick option won’t make it to the next-gen R8. Audi is swapping last year’s R tronic single-clutch six-speed automatic for a new S tronic seven-speed dual-clutch auto. The new transmission will no doubt be smoother than the old, track-oriented R tronic unit, which tended to be balky on the street.

We’re quite pleased both engines and a choice in transmission will continue to be offered for 2013: We’ve tested and liked pretty much every current variation of the R8, from the 4.2 Spyder all the way up to the5.2 coupe; we also have driven—and slept in—the track-ready GT coupe.
There is a new trim level for 2013 called the V10 Plus, but so far it’s only been confirmed for Europe. On paper, the Plus sounds a lot like the current-gen, limited-production R8 GT. The Plus gets a more powerful version of the regular R8’s V-10, upping output to 550 hp; specially tuned springs and dampers; as well as aero and styling upgrades. That’s just 10 fewer ponies than you got in the outgoing GT; the new trim level eschews the GT’s wild rear wing and hard-core, track-focused theme.
The 2013 Audi R8 goes on sale later this year in Europe, and U.S. availability shouldn’t lag too far behind. We suspect the freshened R8 will make an appearance at an auto show soon—most likely in Paris this fall—but Audi hasn’t yet confirmed an official debut.
