We invite you to participate in the Training Course on " Project Cycle Management" which will take place in Turkey (Istanbul or Ankara) in July 2005.
Project management is growing exponentially. We can imply the experiences in every part of our life. With this training course we aim to improve productivity especially in youth projects, effectively organize projects, understand the project life cycle, master the basic project management skills. This project aims at bringing together young people, workers, experts and youth leaders from Europe and program counties to introduce PCM method, an effective tool to manage a project through planning, implementation and evaluation. We are also going to discuss the issues, which are also of prime importance for youth-related matters. The seminar is planned to be a balanced mixture of both theory and case studies selected from everyday examples. We also hope to have the opportunity to exchange our experiences and create good networks that could work in the future.
Turkey-European Union Association (TURABDER) is the first non-governmental organisation that is established with presidency decision in 1987. TURABDER is a Member of "European Movement" and "Fédération Internationale des Maisons de l'Europe"-"Federation of European Houses" that plays an important role in the formation period of the European Union.
The main aim of the Association is to increase the public awareness on the relations between Turkey and European Union. It contributes the integration process of Turkey to EU with its effective lobbying activities both in national and in international level.
For two years, the association incorporated a project team that submits projects both to European Youth Project or Euromed Calls and to the other calls such as EU Sixth Framework Programme, CFCU Active Labor Market, Women Entrepreneurship Training Programme Project etc. "A Young View of Integration" Youth Exchange Program will be held on May 9-16 together with participants from France, Hungary and Malta. We have already made contact with two host organisations for sending volunteers in EVS from England and Germany. Welcome International Students at Drury University
Drury University welcomes students from around the world. Young men and women from more than 50 countries are studying at Drury. They come because of our financial value, strong academic reputation in some 70 programs and excellent location.
The value of a Drury education, ranked #1 for excellent quality at an affordable cost by U.S. News & World Report in 2001, is a distinctive draw. Few universities match the outstanding instruction, fine facilities, personal services and successful placement of graduates for such reasonable tuition and fees.
The university integrates liberal arts (education of the whole person) with professional career preparation. This happens in an environment where teachers know students well because classes are small and one-on-one collaboration between faculty and students is encouraged. Scholarly faculty members (from Harvard, MIT, Texas A & M, Oxford and many other prestigious schools) are distinguished in their fields of study. They choose to teach in an environment that promotes teaching as the top priority, even above personal research interests.
Professors teach all classes (no graduate student assistants teach undergraduates as is the practice in larger universities). Drury has been recognized by the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. as a model for other universities regarding its hands-on research approach to learning. Exciting and unexpected opportunities await our students. For example, on a recent study abroad in Greece, two Drury students were invited to come back and intern with the chief architect restoring the Greek Acropolis.
We are in the middle of the U.S.A. where the pace is easy, cost of living low, and the environment is clean and safe. People are friendly and caring. In the community of Springfield, (300,000) many big-city advantages exist (good medical services, entertainment, conveniences) without big-city ills such as high crime and pollution. You hear mostly English spoken and the cultural experiences are truly American. The region is scenic and forested with many lakes and rivers.
We invite you to learn more about us and ask questions. We are here to assist you. Best wishes on your journey into higher education in the U.S.A. I hope it leads you to Drury.
