Fermi limited availability until May+
The second batch comes in May, but we are not sure that it will be enough to solve the shortage issue. By the time third batch arrives, ATI might have its 6000 ready or it will be close.

[Guru3d]Overclocking GeForce GTX 480 with extra GPU voltage
ne previshe impresivno, al ko je ocekivao uopste da ce biti išta sa ovakvim temps...a voda će sigurno dati bolje rezultate...Now as you guys probably know the default clock frequency for the GeForce GTX 480 is 700 MHz on the core, 1400 MHz on the shader domain and 3700 MHz on the memory. With an additional voltage we where able to push close to 850 MHz on the core and roughly 1700 MHz on the shader processor domain.

Gainward joins Palit with custom GTX 470
GTX 470 GOOD Edition
Gainward is following its parent company's footsteps and it has also announced a non-reference, dual-fan GTX 470, dubbed GTX 470 GOOD Edition.
Just like Palit's card, this one also features a completely redesigned PCB for higher overclocking potential, which is also why the card is a bit longer. It sports non-reference dual-fan cooling and dual DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.
Gainward was also a bit more talkative regarding the cooler design, so we now know that it will feature a copper base paired up with 6mm copper heatpipes and cooled by dual 80mm double-ball bearing fans. The rest of the specs, that include the clocks, are the same as on reference card, so it works at 607MHz for the core, 1215MHz for shaders and 3348MHz for 1280MB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 320-bit memory interface.
Gainward's new GTX 470 GOOD should hit the store shelves sometime in May, but the price still remains a mystery.

GeForce GTX 480 liquid cooling Danger Den
Talking about overclocking, what we have accomplished here today is not something insignificant. No Sir, remember, the default core clock for that GTX 480 is 700 MHz core and 1400 MHz on the shader processors. We pushed this card to 900 MHz core / 1800 MHz shaders easily. And yeah that's just a testimony of what we have been saying all along. There is a lot of potential in this graphics card. Anyway, with the overclock you just gained another 20% extra performance on average.
Danger Den offers the all copper version at 135 USD, the nickel version like tested today will set you down a steep 160 USD. That's not cheap and certainly it makes an expensive product even more expensive, it however is worth every penny as the GTX 480 is just so much better when you can keep it chilled down that easy. This is the way you would like to run your graphics card, it is as simple as that.

'GeForce GTX 465' *****d apart, tested
According to the driver control panel screenshots, though, Nvidia has disabled quite a few bits and pieces: there are only 352 stream processors, 1GB of RAM, and a 256-bit memory interface. Clock speeds look to be 607MHz for the GPU, 1,215MHz for the shaders, and an effective 3,206MHz for the GDDR5 memory.[/QUOTE]You know those early GeForce GTX 460 listings we talked about yesterday? We may now have some specifications for the unannounced Nvidia graphics card. Chinese site eNet claims to have one of the GPUs in its possession, and it's posted some screenshots of the Nvidia driver control panel that reveal key specs, plus a handful of quick benchmarks.
eNet says its benchmarks show the GTX 465 is slightly quicker than the Radeon HD 5870 in Far Cry 2, "significantly slower" than the Radeon HD 5830 in Crysis Warhead, and in between the Radeon HD 5850 and 5870 in Unigine's Heaven benchmark. That doesn't sound like a bad effort if the card ends up launching at around $300 as those European listings suggested, although we'll still need to get one in our labs for more thorough testing.

[FZ] NVIDIA's Dual-GPU Fermi to be GTX490
Two GF104 cores, 375W TDP
It appears that Nvidia's upcoming dual-GPU card will end up with the GTX 490 brand.
As we previously reported, Nvidia canceled the original dual-Fermi D12U-50 because it was a bit too complex and generated as much heat as a medium yield nuclear warhead. Hence, Nvidia apparently chose to use GF104 cores for its new dual-GPU card. Despite this, the rumoured GTX 490 will end up with a 375W TDP.
According to KitGuru.net, the new card will be branded GTX 490, but there's still no info on exact specs or launch dates. We can only speculate that Nvidia will launch the dual headed beast by the end of the summer, just in time for the nag-fueled-back-to-school shopping spree.
However, it's still far from clear how the new card will measure up to AMD's HD 5970, as the high TDP could limit its clocks and recently introduced HD 5970 cards with 4GB of memory could give AMD a fighting chance.

Nvidia officially launches its GTX 465
Roundup: Affordable GF100
Reviews:Nvidia has officially unveiled its latest Fermi GF100 derivative, the GTX 465. Featuring 352 CUDA Cores and support for DirectX 11, PhysX, SLI, CUDA and 3D Vision Surround, the new GTX 465 is also the most affordable GF100 based graphics card with it US $279 price tag.
As noted, the GTX 465 features 352 CUDA Cores and works at 607MHz for the core and 1215MHz for the shaders. It has 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 3206MHz and paired up with a 256-bit memory interface. The card still needs two 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors and has a 200W TDP. The new GTX 465 looks a lot like the GTX 470 and it still uses the dual-slot cooler and feature two dual-DVI and an HDMI output.
The performance of the GTX 465 is far from being impressive as in most tests it is placed somewhere in between the Radeon HD 5830 and Radeon HD 5850. The card still deals nicely with DirectX 11 tessellation, as it is something that Nvidia's GF100 GPUs are really good at.
In addition to the good tessellation performance, Nvidia will certainly advertise PhysX, CUDA and 3D Vision as key advantages of the GTX 465. Despite its sub-$300 price tag, GTX 465 still leaves a sour after taste when compared to AMD's Radeon HD 5830 and 5850.

Zotac Geforce GTX 465 Launch Review
It has been just over two months since the release of Nvidias GTX 400 series which hit the market with the high end GTX 480 and 470 models. These offered enthusiasts performance far in excess of the previous generation of Nvidia cards and brought with them a significant improvement in features thanks to support for DirectX11 and DirectCompute 5.0.
To tie in with Computex 2010 Nvidia is today launching the GTX 465 which brings the same GF100 architecture and features which were present in the GTX 480 and 470 to a new price point, sub $300/Ł255. We will be running the new card through a number of real world tests including DX 9/10/11 gaming, 3D Vision, PhysX, CUDA and 3D movie playback to establish how it fits into the current marketplace; including comparisons with cards such as the GTX 285, 470 and Radeon 5000 series.

Gtx 465 SLI review
OC results: 600 -> 790
1200 -> 1580
3200 -> 3650
Its now close to 470 performance. This OC was achieved without changing the voltage.
There's something else I want to mention here. I'm not saying you should, by all means no. But we already informed you that the PCB, packaging and GPU on both the GTX 465 and 470 are 100% similar. We flashed a GTX 470 BIOS in one of the GTX 465 cards just to see if it would work, and it ran perfectly fine. Risky yes .. the extra disabled shader clusters could be damaged. But well let's just say, keep this little story in mind.
Tweaking -- I was really impressed by the overclock potential the card seems to offer. You should be able to lift another 150 MHz out of the core and thus another 300 MHz extra out of the shaders (both are locked in a 1:2 configuration ratio). Achieve that and you just gained another 15 to 20% performance. So yes, this series will have a lot of overclock potential alright.
So let me sum things up, we feel the GeForce GTX 465 is a DX11 and OpenGL 4.0 viable card that can address the market really well. It's not really power consumption greedy, not at all noisy and will not run very hot. Game performance is really very respectable. However the culprit today at launch will be its price. For this product to be sold like hot buns from the oven, it will need to drop below the 250 USD/EUR marker. In SLI the sky is the limit, and you can achieve massive performance thanks to really good multi-GPU scaling. Should you decide to pick it up, we guarantee you this though, you will not be disappointed.
