Hello everyone,
Does anyone have experience, or has visited, the animal shelter in Tuzi? One person told us it was very good, but another person told us it was terrible.
We have a lovely dog that we are struggling to re-home. We're in Herceg Novi.

you can ask me about that , or poison from the animals sections of this forum , shelter is ok , and there is a lot of cute dogs to take, they are all cleaned , have all the injections, the cost is 5 euros , you can see them all days, but take them only in thursday, when vet is there, also you have to sign papers regarding to that you will take care of them and thqat people from animal shelter society have privilegies to come see the dog, and if you dont have proper vcare to take it away , there i hope i was from any help, give me a private message if anything else needed

Hi Sparco,
Do you know how to get dogs in there as well? I'm also in Herceg Novi and have two super cute puppies I can't keep or rehome. I don't mind driving there to drop them off, but wouldn't like to go there with them for them to be rejected. I'd like to get them there while they're still little as their chances of getting adopted are probably better.
Of course, if anyone reading this would like to give a puppy a good home just let me know!
Thanks,
Sarah

These puppies are not mine or from my dog at all. They are two homeless puppies who have ended up taking shelter in the garage of an empty house next to us. The house is due for demolition next month which will leave them with nowhere to live. I have been feeding them but cannot continue to do so indefinitely. I would really like to see them safe rather than tossing them onto the street to fend for themselves.
Nope dude i heard about it but never visited that place....
They've now opened one in Herceg Novi, but for some reason aren't taking any dogs until October. Whether they'll actually try to rehome dogs or just put them down there rather than on the street is another question. From the outside it really looks like another political advertisement and EU formality, rather than any real effort to address the street animal problem.
Take the picture of them, and someone will take it
Aside from the street dogs and cats though, why don't people here spay and neuter their pets? All my neighbours have puppies and kittens they are stuck with because they didn't spay their dog or cat. Seems much harder to try to find homes for puppies and kittens than to just take your pet to the vet for a 30 minute operation.
